Gifting is a powerful mindset that fosters connection by replacing agendas and expectations with generosity and curiosity. When we share genuine compliments and actively listen with curiosity, we allow others to feel acknowledged and seen. Gifting also increases mutual happiness, relieves stress, and strengthens communities. We created the G.I.F.T. Approach to help you easily remember the basics (click to expand each).

The G.I.F.T. Approach

Share the gift of your acknowledgment and attention. You are given 1,000 minutes every day so gift a few of them to make a difference.
Have curiosity in who a person is and what makes them unique. Everyone has something they can teach us.

To better understand their experience ask feeling questions such as “What was that like?” or “How did that feel?”

Practice empathy and sincerity to build trust.
